dua for difficult times

For the time when a thing feels too hard, the Sunnah records these words. Nothing becomes easy except what Allah makes easy — this dua asks Him for exactly that.

اللَّهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلَ إِلاَّ مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً

Urdu

اے اللہ! آسان صرف وہی ہے جسے تُو آسان کر دے، اور جب تُو چاہے تو مشکل کو بھی آسان بنا دیتا ہے۔

English

(O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy.)

تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، تو پاک ہے، بے شک میں ہی ظالموں میں سے ہوں۔

English

(None has the right to be worshipped except You. How perfect You are, verily I was among the wrong-doers.)
